Uh Jeff..

Electing a US President by direct popular vote isnt going to work and will
further encourage more voter apathy.

Why you ask??

Our population distribution...

In simple terms, the population of California, Washington and Oregon tend
to be mostly liberal, they could out vote the rest of the country
especially when combined with most of the Northeastern States..

So do you want to allow just California, Oregon, Washington, New York,
Massachussetts pick our Presidents for us? Their combined populations would
dwarf the rest of us.
