Sundays Phoenix paper had a pair of Carver Amazings (P) in
"mint" condition along with a Pearalux(sp) amp and preamp combo
and a Marantz (unknown model) for $3,000 (US). 
        SO I scrambled around and counted up all my assets and
working capital, before calling, just to see how much I had to
work with. I was only $2740 short. Can't understand why he 
wouldn't go for the deal. Humbug.
        I even offered to throw in my oldest son and a child to
be named at a later date. No help. 
        Not really being in the market for them yet, I didn't waste 
his time. But I guess there are still some to be had...and at reaonable
prices.
