Hallo, Robert!
RS>>Any idea where I might find it?
It's freeware:
GSV24W32.ZIP
GS510INI.ZIP
GS510FN.ZIP
GS510W32.ZIP
located at http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/gsview/index.html and otherwhere.
Copy each file into a single directory, unzip GSV24W32.ZIP and run
SETUP.EXE. This will lead you through the installation procedure of
GHOSTVIEW and GHOSTSCRIPT.
To print under W95 you have to choose the driver MSWINPR2.
Some helpful utilities are located at ftp.dcs.ed.ac.uk. Look for psutils-
p17-a4-nt.zip. There are programms to shrink paper size (PSRESIZE -pA5 -
PA4 ), to print books (doublesided printing page 1,4 on
one side and 2,3 on the other:
PSBOOK -s4
PSNUP -2 )
and some more.
All you have to do is to run GHOSTVIEW, load your PDF, print into file
using PSWRITE (generates an PostScript file), run the utility of your need
(they can only handle PostScript files) and load the PostScript file into
GHOSTVIEW again, where you can print to any printer you like.
Thanks to Angus Duggan, programmer of PSUtils, to c't and Dr. Justus Noll,
who published these tips a month ago. Very, very fine software ... for
free.
Ciao, Walter
