yes. But I was young back then :-) Today I probably would put the
convertion procedures in a separate library and then go wild :-)

I don't think so. Pascal is simple to read even for people who don't have
much practise, and as far as I know it is the the language used in most
universities to teach clean programming, so converting should be a piece of
cake. :-)
