I clip the edge tiles with a tile nipper. Works well, kinda fun too. Wear
eye protection.
The tools made at Chabot have no fractional edge tile. The full tile is
cut away before the symmetric mat is epoxied to the concrete. It works
fine.
The edge of a tile tool may be beveled just as a mirror blank. By working
the disk in an orbital motion, face down against the inside of a wok or
bowl. Coarse grit, some water and one to three minutes gets the job down.
