subject: no memory for 4dos under win95

Hi Paul!
Quoting your message of 10 Apr 98, 20:54 o'clock
to Vic Bates in area "4DOS" about "no memory for 4dos under win95":
VB>> As I said I think the problem is that win95 isn't allowing umb's to be
VB>> used when opening a 4dos window. I'm not sure why shelling out again
VB>> from a prog doesn't give the error though.
PW>That's the bit I don't understand either.
After Win95 is fully loaded, it serves the EMS/XMS a program requires
(4DOS in a box). Before, the memory management seems to be set up
wrong. I already suggested to modify CONFIG.SYS in an earlier
message. Let's see if that helps.
Kind regards
        Peter
