Seems to be the case.  Speaking for the immediate area where a traditional
Fido BBS could potentially serve, there is nobody that could be served
using traditional methods and especially formats, either jam or squish. 
Also can be extended to include binkp which supposedly was to resolve the
tcpip connection issues.  Did it?  I think not.

But that is only nodes and from my understanding it is on the decline and
was since before binkp connections.

I wish you luck with that but I think they may suffer the same fate as Fido.
