Hi!
Well, the pills that were doing it (both small and coated) were moving from
the bottom to the top of the liquid (about 2 inches <5 cm for you modern
types>). Not all the pills did it but it was very odd to watch.

you know... I tried it... and I think my problem is that I was picturing
the
bobbing you were talking about as something more dramatic... say moving up
and down the glass... more than just bobbling about on the
surface/slightly
below it. Because the pills I tried didn't really perform admirably enough
to be "bobbing entertainingly" (or however you exactly put it :)
I was sort of disappointed...
