Hi Alan,

This is a script I used a while back that imports the file_id.diz in a zip
file and writes the filename and description out to a file.. it was
originally put together to kick out a file in the format of 'descript.ion',
rather than files.bbs but I think the modification noted below will take
care of that..

============cut here=============
#!/bin/sh
dir -1 *.zip > dirlist
for f in `cat dirlist`
do
  unzip -pC $f file_id.diz >> FILE_ID.DIZ
  if [ -f FILE_ID.DIZ ] ; then
     tr '\n\r' '\n\r' tmp.ff
  # the line above had been
  # '\n\r' ' '
  # to remove the CR/LF in the diz, for descript.ion style
  # files.
     echo $f `cat tmp.ff` >> files.bb1
     rm -f FILE_ID.DIZ tmp.ff
  fi
done

If it does what you need, just rename files.bb1 to files.bbs.

Take care,
Janis
