subject: Batch file

Hello Charles, I wish you a nice day!

CJ> Not really a problem. You are correct that batch files run
CJ> under DOS but you can execute them from windows. You execute a
CJ> batch just as you would any executable under windows. Double click
CJ> on the batch file or the shortcut to the batch.

I think that I am doing this unwittingly. I made a
shortcut to the BW.exe, then I palced it into a shorcutbar that
sits on the top edge of my screen. I just clikc on it and
  whamho! there is BW.

CJ> That is what is so great about BBSing. That tradition has been
CJ> around in the BBS world long before FIDO. I know when I first
CJ> started there were always people willing to help. The users today
CJ> are just continuing that tradition.

Prime exemple of this is the CBM BBS here in Montreal. Run
by a pharmacist and always was free. He still does all he needs
on a C=128. That Sysop helped quite a few of us get into binary
world. I got in during 1985 with a C=64 and GEOS.
