Well, (grin) I really am not looking so much for debate, Richard, as for
information. My questions are always genuine. Your answer raised a second
question which is how do you KNOW what happens to a personality after death.
I've read, and, indeed, have in my library, John H. Hick, _Death & Eternal
Life_, 1976, a dispassionate survey of the subject in religious beliefs
round
the globe, and he does not indicate that he KNOWS. He does conclude that of
all of the varieties of beliefs the most rational appears to be some kind of
transition to life in some other part of the universe. One has to note
carefully, however, that he's only talking about rationality, NOT an
assumption of truth.
Sincerely,
Frank
