      Art,    Star tests are hard enough to see with you own eye, but  I
have seen digital photos on the
web showing images. I would suggest buying two books,   "How to make a
telescope" by Jean
Texereau......   And a new release by Karine and Jean-Marc Lecleire  called
"A manual for Amateur
Telescope Makers"   These books show diagrams and photos that will explain a
whole bunch.
    The latter book has photos of the couder test in progress which is very
impressive...
