That's the case with most Python sites.  Either they're volunteer/fan
endavors and people can't devote the time to them that they require, or
they're official sites that must rely on press releases and such. I've
given thought to retiring my own site because it doesn't seem worth the
trouble (still on the fence about it).

Sooner or later the good sites disappear, for time financial or other
reasons.  Even Stone Dead in Australia snuffed it.  That;s life on the
Internet.
