I am not sure what section either but I do get the point.  The TERM set by
/etc/profile is more then often "linux" but VT-100 is an option. 
I see a whole slew of vt's and ansi's in /usr/share/terminfo.  There is
even an ansi.sys if the truth be told.  The problem however is that on a
BBS it isn't the BBS that decides, it is the user's system.
