DR>I'm just now teaching my kids the musicals that I grew up with - and some
DR>of the newer ones that just came out. In the house I grew up in (and it's
DR>getting to be a new habit here) is "Every line's a song". For instance,
DR>someone will comment on a cloudy day, "gee, where's the sun?" and someone
DR>would break out in, "The sun'll come out tomorrow, bet yer bottom dollar
DR>that tomorrow, there'll be sun...." ("Annie").
We do that too! (Strnge to see habits tht you think are so personal
in familys that you don't even know.)
We also make songs out of everyday converstion.
Tamara will come out of the kitchen and sing, to the tune of Beethoven's
5th :"There is no Juice!" And I answer in kind "Are you quite sure!?"
It's fun t o see how far you can streach somethign like that. It especially
helps in the car, to pass the tie on long boreing trips.
