If your phone uses metal hydride batteries, they have no memory
problem.
If it uses nickel-cadnium batteries then yes, dischrage the
battery until the phone quits working then recharge.
If your phone uses lithium ion batteries it will have no memory
problem.
nickel cadnium batteries are passe these days.
