Those that have file_id.diz are simple, you don't need a files.bbs at all.
Use mbfile adopt in a script for a buch of files in a directory.
Something like:
for file is `ls` ; do
mbfile adopt 12 $file "Dummy description"
done
You need to copy the files to a temp location because they will be removed
during the import and you must be in that directory when you call the
script. mbfile adopt will override the description on the commandline if a
file_id.diz is present inside the archive.
If you are absolutly sure the files are virusfree, you can also add -v to
the commandline to speed things up.
(I should have added this to the faq)
