Telnet is no problem. MBSE will do that as well as dialup. It's the only 
one that I know of that will handle dial up calls. I don't have a modem 
anymore so I have not tested it out any though.

Synchronet handles telnet very well, and binkd can be used for the mailer. 
But sync doesn't do dial up natively in v3+, and a mailer for dial up 
would be difficult if not impossible.

Doors are a little tougher to get going under linux. It can be done with 
dosemu or native linux apps but be prepared for another learning curve.

I don't think you'll be able to get all of your doors running under linux.

There is a fossil that comes with dosemu. I haven't used it in quite a 
while but it does work.
