(Continued from previous message)
JA>Ham bug to go to that one. LOL
I'll worry about the Freefest in Bartlett next spring as it gets
closer. With all the traffic and construction, I'd have to ride with
someone, but the long drives and rides are too much for me now.
JA>Ouch. :-( Hate to hear that...
I sure could've used a massage from a good looking YL (hi hi).
JA>Really hope to chew the band with you sometime! My mobile rig is letting
JA>me hear Jonesborough & Memphis repeaters. Your D-Star stuff is HF only
JA>though, right? I have a hand me down HF rig and antenna at home, but still
JA>need to pickup a power supply for it...
Actually, no. While there is D-Star HF, it's either on VHF or UHF.
With antenna prohibitions here, I get on with the DV Dongle, and the DV
Tool program, along with the D-Rats program...the latter allows you to
send email, messages, ICS forms, files, and chat in real time. On last
Sunday's Southeast US D-Star Weather Net, we had nearly 75
checkins...almost 35 of those were on D-Rats.
Maybe we can set up a sked sometime...I'm working on that with another
ham from the New York City area.
JA>... Dijon vu: the feeling you've tasted that mustard before.
That reminds me...I need to be cannibalistic, and make up a hot ham
and cheese sandwich with mustard. :P The tagline will be an appetizer.
