Anyway, if she wants to stop prostitution, let her try, and let me tell
her how that's worked here.  It hasn't.  They make it illegal, and they
even arrest the johns sometimes, but it still happens.  It just happens
in parts of town that should be considered free-fire zones.  It's
dangerous as all hell for John and Jane alike.

Or perhaps Julie Bindel would like to know how Iran is doing in its
attempts to stop prostitution.  Of course it's illegal, because it
violates Islamic law, so whores just get married to the johns, then
annul the marriage after the act.
