JM>Hi! I'm a semi-experienced Turbo Pascal 7.0 programer... But I found
JM>Turbo
JM>too restricting in size of code/speed of execution, and a friend told me
JM>to
JM>try out C++... So I said, well... can't be that hard (Later to find
JM>out
JM>different ). Seems to compile alot slower, but it's a fair tradeoff
JM>for
JM>the advantages... Anyways, my question is this : I've been told
JM>opposing
JM>stories about which compiler to use... Currently I'm using Turbo C++
JM>v3.00.
JM>Is this an Ok compiler to start with? Or should I be using something
JM>else?
JM>Any help with this would be greatly appriciated... And Long Live C ;)
Get Borland C++ v5.0, it's good to start off with and to keep using it,
however, if your after speedy executables use either
1) Watcom
2) DJGPP
3) MSVC++
... DOS=HIGH? I knew it was on something...
