AV> JH> survival of the fittest is those best able to survive...smarter,

AV> JH> at the most base biological level the whole point to life is to

AV>
AV> My point is that one only has to be "fit" and not necessarily the

it's more of the fittest characteristics not the organism (i know, it's a
ery
fine line). those characteristics get passed down, if your genes aren't
mong
the fittest (and it refers to a group, not a single organism) then they get
passed on. Take a cheetah, for example. as they preyed upon antelope (or
whatever) the antelopes that had shorter legs (would cause a slower speed)
would be killed, their genes not passed on. then the antelope population
would get faster. the slower cheetahs would not get to eat and the fitter
cheetahs (the ones faster and could catch the prey) would thrive and it is
their genes that would be passed on. is this making any sense to you?
you cannot use humans as an example. we are a different type of species. we
tend to look out for the members of our species that are not as fit. so, the
weaker genes still get passed on.
