| subject: | Apache on FreeBSD |
From: "Joe Barr" Hotmail sure is running a lot of FreeBSD boxen. A post on ZDNet Talkbacks this morning points to the msn.com page with a link to sign up for Hotmail. The url the link points to is 64.4.22.23 (ad.law15.hotmail.com). Netcraft says it is running Apache on FreeBSD. So I did the group thing at netcraft.net for what's running. The first page of results on hotmail.com comes back all FreeBSD. I suppose MS more than anyone else knows how insecure IIS is, and that's why they have turned to Apache. But didn't they get busted for lying about this sort of thing at Hotmail before? -- --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-4* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/1.45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/1 633/267 |
