I have echolink on my computer and on my phone. Have only played around with it some, but was using it to talk to a guy in Alabama. He was sitting in a parking lot waiting for the tire shop to open and was scanning local repeaters. Worked like a charm! He had no idea I wasn't 'there' until I told him how I was connecting! Then, evenings are taken up with ham radio nets on DS> Packet Via Telnet, Echolink, D-Star, and D-Rats. Understood. I was actually so busy with stuff last week that I didn't talk hardly at all. I usually chat on the way home from work. There's been a lot more activity in one of the towns near me. There's a weather net every night and I check in when I can, but again have been out of pocket at the right time. :-) ... The truth is out there...
