Hello Debbie,
>> There is a tourist trap located near Spring Green, Wisconsin
>> called The House on the Hill. The house was designed and built by a
DS> We did some research at the library today and I found some tidbits on

That is one thing about FLW houses, some of them were not that nice to live
in, although they were interesting and original designs. Apparently he
designed one house and didn't put a doorway between the kitchen and dining
room. You had to go down a hallway, through th living room and then into the
dining room, not convenient at all!
> brochure to The House on the Hill (I think we saved it) and see if

DS> That would be great. A few in the group actually spend their
DS> vacations going from park to park to see all of the well known ones.
The actual name of the place is 'The House on the Rock' and it was designed
and owned by Alex Jordan. I couldn't find a brochure on the place, only a
little map of the layout. It only mentions the carousel as being the world's
largest. Any way it's in Spring Green, Wisconsin so if you should happen to
be out in the midwest, it may be worth your time to seek it out.
Back on topic a wee bit: I'm reading an Edna Buchanan book 'Suitable for
Framing'. It is set in Miami, one of my least favorite spots on earth; and
Buchanan does nothing to endear it to me or I would think anyone else. The
book is a good read, with great characters and a good quick pace to it. I
think Buchanan is about to become a favorite author.
