Hi Bill and Rick.

I assume that the ready dental plaster has a specific gravity of about 2.2 g/cm^3
The plaster to water ratio on the stuff I use is 100/23 in weight

The procedure I use is:
1. calculate the needed volume of the tool 2. multiply by 2.2. to get the
total weight 3. multiply t/w by 0.81 = mass of needed plaster 4. multiply
t/w by 0.19 = mass (volume) of water

I usually get the proper amount of plaster out of that. It won't hurt to
allow for some +/- tolerance

Cheers,
Chris
