Hi, I hope somebody can help a newbie..
The server is running Intranetware with NIAS and IPX-Gateway
installed, the clients have Internet Explorer and Cute FTP
installed (and the IPXGateway), which are running fine. Every
time a user enters an URL or opens an FTP connection the
server dials up our ISP and establishes the internet connection.
So far so good!
Now I had to install Eudora Light on the clients, and every
time I perform a "CHECK MAIL", Eudora tells me "network not
available" and the server doesnôt even try to dial up our ISP.
When I start Internet Explorer first (and the internet connection
is already established), Eudora works fine!
Once I tried to change the POP3-server setting in eudora from
xxx.xxx.xx to xxx.xxx.xx:80 (port 80) ... and the server dialed!
Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong, or where I can tell
Interanetware to dial up on a POP3/SMTP-request???
Or do I relly have to buy an email-server-system ???
I would appreciate any kind of help
TOM!
