Hi Jean,
Not really a problem. You are correct that batch files run
under DOS but you can execute them from windows. You execute a
batch just as you would any executable under windows. Double click
on the batch file or the shortcut to the batch. In fact, I start
my reader via a shortcut that is on my Desktop.
After having said all that, there are some problems. Bill Gates
seems to be getting rid of more of DOS with each new version of
windows. Some batch files don't run as well under XP as they did
under Win95.
Anyway, I think I would have a problem running my system without
batch files ;-). I have scads of them.

That is what is so great about BBSing. That tradition has been
around in the BBS world long before FIDO. I know when I first
started there were always people willing to help. The users today
are just continuing that tradition.
