"K"/Configuration/Packaging & then:

Install Software installs software
Mandrake Update looks for updates to Mandrake Remove Software removes software
Software Sources Manager allows you to set up & manage software sources
(http, ftp, local disk etc.)

I would advise PLF for stuff which Mandrake don't wish to package (e.g. DVD
playing / ripping stuff)
