And, I just did!   Both hr and min are idnentical.  But, I've got 
the right message stats this time around.

I was going to ask what "touch" is, but I found the TOUCH command 
in 4DOS.  Is there a similar command in DOS?  

This is the first time I ran into it.  Then again, it's the first 
time I needed it too!
