I had to replace the original SATA drives as the distributor put in
unsupported/incompatible WD 'JS' ( Western Digital WD2500JS ) which ran
far too hot. Infrant lists them as incompatible on their website. Infrant
sent me the RMA information quickly but the distributor ASI was a bit
unresponsive in my first two emails. I then cc-ed Infrant ( Steve Wang,
James Sung ) for further RMA requests and only after that did I receive
prompt action from ASI

The build quality was ok but they do use these plastic screws to hold the
drives once they are slipped into the cage ( they give some extras ) that
are prone to having their heads twisted off. I received the unit with the
original drives already mounted and configured. When I received the
replacements I just powered off the unit and swapped out one drive at a
time and let the raid rebuild it. I was concerned as to how well the
drives would slide into the SATA connectors but had no problems in that
area.

Here's a portion of the log on the rebuild (250 gig drive)

Tue Feb 21 20:16:35 EST 2006 RAID sync finished on volume C.
Tue Feb 21 16:51:05 EST 2006 System is up.
Tue Feb 21 16:50:37 EST 2006 RAID sync started on volume C.

Here's a portion of the log concerning the temperature problem ( the box
was emailing me also )

They have a pretty good forum on their site and I've seen instructions from
various users on replacing the front fan there with either a quieter or a
more powerful one.
