I kind of wish they hadn't tried.  For one thing, how are you going to
top the plot of the original?  It'll end up being just a rehash of the
first ~Total Recall~... and this time they won't even get to save Mars.
For another, it wasn't all that great a flick... I liked it well
enough to pick up the video, but it could've been better.
I still swear there's a scene missing from the video... I *know* that
when I saw it in the theater, there was another scene at the end --
after Arnie and Ticotin and Cox are all tossed out into the vacuum of
the surface, they do the usual choke and gasp routine (complete with
bulging eyeballs and swollen tongues, in one of the less-well-done
F/X shots I've seen)... the air spreads out, everyone recovers.
Except... I remember that just after that, Cox' character - looking like
hell with busted blood vessels all over his face - attacked Arnie,
and was finally killed.
I *know* I saw that scene in the theaters... so why was it cut from
the video?
