        Besides which, there are other medications if one has had a bad
experience with Ritalin. My son is currently getting a perscription for
some stuff called Cylert and he's doing fine. And no, he didn't have a
problem with Ritalin-- he's never had any. The reason that our doctor
perscribed Cylert is because Ritalin has become a street drug here and
he doesn't want his patients being harassed either by the local dopers
or the police who are supposed to be dealing with the latter.
        Without that drug, he was uncontrollable most of the time and
well on his way from being expelled from school at age 11. With it, he's
mostly a normal kid. That perscription, and some education about ADHD
has made all of the difference.
