I think it must be a property of this phone then. Is your Uniden telephone analog or digital? Some of the 5.8GHz phones have simple analog transceivers rather than employing digital spread spectrum communication links between the handset and base. Maybe I am being paranoid, but I like the idea of the wireless link being scrambled, however weakly. Of course the party to whom I am speaking might have an analog cordless phone, so who am I kidding?
