I misinterpreted that in the OP, assuming a dedicated mobile
broadband modem connected via USB, which is what I use for my home
internet.

Also assumed a single-device solution rather than wanting to connect
with a switch, that would be better than the USB-Ethernet adapters
certainly. If you could save needing the switch by using a router
board with sufficient ethernet ports, that would still be my
recommendation from the perspective of reliability and power
consumption though (cost too, if you don't already have the switch).
If using a Raspberry Pi model other than the Pi4, note the speed
limitations of the Ethernet because even the onboard port is actually
connected via USB.
