Internet BBSs represent a new opportunity. I'm not in a position to maintain dialup lines (especially at today's line rental rates, which are 2-3 x what they were when we had the BBS running), and I'm also able to physically locate it somewhere I can keep it up 24x7 on good bandwidth for minimal cost (some 10000 miles away in Atlanta). It's going to take some time, especially since I'm working on a priority upgrade to my Echolink setup - I am setting up a HF link, for demonstration purposes with the bushfire crisis, with the option of enabling the transmitter, if it's needed to assist. 73 de VK3JED http://www.vkradio.com Synchronet BBS coming soon! ...
