 Till recently calls within the bounds of one city were free. Now a little
time rate appears in some cities. But calls between cities were always paid
and they are quite expensive. Many stations prefer transferring Fido
bundles over IP, it's less expensive but it costs much money too. And there
is no cost-sharing practice in russian fidonet.
