I replied to was mostly CP866 characters other than the quoted text which of
course were all ascii characters.
Python eh? I think that might be a better choice than Java these days but time
will tell for sure. I notice the shift to Python from Java on much of the
Android-type apps lately.

No shame in that methinks. Personally I prefer a bash based reader but to each
their own and Python is more compatible across platforms, especially ones that
lack a decent shell.
Oh well, can't win them all eh?
