A simple solution to your problem. Quit buying those yellow things
from Dole. If you can find the Red Banannas they are much better. They
have about 3 times the shelf life of the yellows, are a mite smaller,
and are better flavored. When I buy them I select a few that are all red
and have a few black spots on the skin. If they are slightly soft to the
touch they are ripe enough to peel. Try them, you will like them.
