From: "Frank Haber" Don't cry. XP's refresh rate and delay-before-typematic are exactly what I set for myself in DOS and Win95 days. And I swap ctrl- and capslock, which causes me no end of trouble on the set until I adjust. And I'm subject to keystuttering (one hit produces two-three characters). On my Mac iBook, I had to turn on Assist for the Palsied, at minimum setting. Worked perfectly - I can type 60 wpm with minimal onscreen delay. On DOS, the trick was to load a keyboard TSR on INT 9 (the inner kb loop). Just turn no features on. Also magic for the ham-handed on no-travel, G*ddamn laptops keyboards). --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 106/2000 633/267 |
