Hello All,
BB> 3C501.EXE. This is a diagnostics util that I would like to
BB> have more data on. I have figured out that:
 BB> E is echo
 BB> Ix is irq
 BB> Dx is DMA
 BB> Bxxx is address
     1 Preliminary
     2 DMA
     3 Packit
     4 Recognizer
5 Hangs machine! (before test message)
     6 Passive receive
7 EtherShare Packit Exchange/NS Echo service at adress xxxxxx...
OK. 6 has been useful! At the pentium, 3C501.EXE 6 will give me screens
of numbers if the network is active! So the NIC can receive something.
If I send from the pentium 3C501.EXE 3
     the 386 workstation (3C501.EXE 6) displays numbers!
I believe these consecutive numbers represent packits received.
So, the pentium NIC can rec/send something.
Regards, Barry
