BJ> Probably high school math or possible 4-12 (maybe K-12) special
 BJ> education.

BS> Oh okay, do it really require a master degree, in this
BS> country people are teaching in "elementary school"
BS> (kids with age from 7-16), did only study 4 years in
 BS> some non-university.

You only need a Bachelor's (B.A.) degree to teach through highschool (thru
17 / 18 years old) in this state. But those with Master's degrees or
additional classed beyond the bachelor's degree make more money. Since I
already have both a bachlor's (B.S.) degree and a Master's degree, I should
be able to just spend about 1 year getting a second master's degree....

BS> Only high school teachers requires a master degree (youths from 16-20).

In this state, as noted above, the additional degree is a monetary
incentive. Teaching certificates are controlled by each state, not the
federal government, so there can be differences throughout the US. But,
the (federal) department of Education will have influence on the state
requirements.....

BJ> Aerospace.... [Spelling is not rocket science..... ]

BS> Oh okay ;) Then you do know alot about Aerodynamics
BS> too? (I allways found it interesting, but I didn't do
 BS> studying it).

Not aerodynamics, but more on the computer support of that industry....
Defense, Space and Aerospace (as well as a few other industries) tend to
have rather formal configuration management and quality assurance
procedures and controls..... Most software doesn't care similar
requirements....

 BJ> Hmmm.... I know the runbbs.sh script (version 1.1) would re-start
BJ> max once a user logged out (like I expected), but I didn't think it
BJ> handled concurrent users. I'll have to look at version 1.3 in more
 BJ> detail.

BS> It has +1 processes... The extra one
BS> is waiting for a caller.

Ok....

BS>> IMHO is the communication working well, I would
BS>> presuiate if the MEX / Filetransfer / QWK were working
 BS>> .. And local logon!

BJ> Understand. We need MEX, file transfers and Qwk
 BJ> working in the Linux
BJ> port before I can consider Max for public consumption on my BBS. I
BJ> suspect the file transfers problems are issues with how we are
BJ> opening up and/or running the telnet ports. Have you had Max build
BJ> QWK packets via a local login (max -k) and tested the resulting QWK
BJ> file for compatibility? If that doesn't work, then yes, QWK is
BJ> probably also broken on the port. Mex is definately broken....

BS> Download of QWK packets work, but upload don't because
BS> of the file transfer upload didn't work.

Interesting that downloads work but uploads don't. Ah.... We are still
interpreting somethings that causes upload errors..... Probably need to
turn off some things (TTY or for the handle of the TCP/IP session) to get
uploads working then....

BJ> Due to Max BBS line limitations, I cann't respond
BJ> to the rest of your
BJ> reply via my normal methods.

 BS> ?

Maximus/2 has a size limitation on the buffer used to read in the previous
message and used for quoting. In full screen mode, using
, you don't see the end of the message you are quoting
if that message is too long for the buffer. The OS/2 buffer is laarger
than the DOS buffer..... I suspect the Win32 buffer is the same size as
for OS/2. I am guessing that Maximums / Linux buffer is also the same size
as the OS/2 buffer.

Take care.....
