OK, found it.... 

 DS> clipboard.  That is done using the "mark" menu item.  It takes a
 DS> little practice to see just how mark works -- basically you click on
 DS> one corner of an intended block and then while hoding the left mouse
 DS> button down, drag to the other corner.

It's definitely not as easy as the other system was!
