I played with telnet under OS/2 (VModem was awesome back then) on my old RA
based system, but the world has since gone to HTTP.  But I refuse to run one of
those web forum packages - disgusting things.  Give me a reall BBS any day. 
And Sync allows the web crowd to use HTTP anyway, with a reasonable interface.
