Hey Nicholas!

NB> upgrading from 3.17 to 3.18 the kernel modules failed on me.

On here 3.18 seemed more stable than 3.17 for kernel.org source (no patches).
As for modules I noticed that on both branches usb devices had major problems.
However the main drawback for me personally was the sata drivers which aren't
modularized. Anyhow the 3.14 branch seems to be behaving itself for both ext3
and ext4 formatted partitions as well as usb modules so I am not all that
panicked about the more recent branch issues and will probably given systemd
another shot once I find a kernel that might take it over the top. In the
meantime I am happy with what is currently working.

Maybe. Speaking for myself neither is currently running here so there really
isn't a choice ... or at least between those two. Offhand from what I've seen
of the two I'd guess that Arch might be the better choice.

Life is good,
Maurice

... Don't cry for me I have vi.
