In rec.sport.boxing, I once asked how Christi Martin would fare in a
fight with a champion male boxer of the same weight. (She was the
women's boxing champ.) Almost universally, they replied that she'd
last about 30 seconds with a boxer like De La Hoya.
There was a similar incident in tennis, way back. They put the women's
champion, who I think was Steffi Graf, up against a man who was ranked
about 200th in the world. He mopped the court with her.
This is why there are fantasy movies where women savage men. These are
chick flicks that have taken a dark turn. They've gone from Fried
Green Tomatoes to Resident Evil.
