What's in "runsbbs"?

Sounds like a problem with your script. What if you just type this (no script):
export SBBSCTRL=/sbbs/ctrl && /path/to/scfg
or
export SBBSCTRL=/sbbs/ctrl && /path/to/sbbs
?
