While I don't use a printer that would familiarize me w/ lots of faces, I've 
had a little such familiarity keft over from 'hot metal' days.  Suggest you 
look for monospaced versions of the following:
Either Helvetica (*the* classic sans serif face, IMO) or Futura.  Helvetica 
is so standard and well regarded that there are a number of knock-offs, 
usually with a 'name' that trades on the etymology of Helvetica -- e.g. 
Swiss, Zurich, etc.                            --ed
