| subject: | Re: Using Win2K Resource Kit`s Regback.exe and RegRest.exe on XP |
From: "Frank Haber" I'm with John. I wouldn't. Another useful option might be ERUNT http://www.larshederer.homepage.t-online.de/erunt/ It's been good to me on the two occasions I had to restore with it. At least read the FAQ there - it's a decent discussion. To be fair, XP's "bloated System Restore" has worked much more than it's failed. CAVEAT!!!:: I've only used ERUNT on fairly vanilla peered computers, on which very little playing with permissions had been done. I can't speak to its efficacy on a locked-down corp workstation. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 106/2000 633/267 |
