subject: Problem with Universal Disk Controller

Hi,
Don't know if anyone can help here but I got a 'new in box' still
wrapped in plastic UDC card from ebay a while ago - recently opened
the box and installed it in my IIe - unfortunately when I hit the
power I get nothing from the IIe. Switch the power off and I get a
high pitched oscilation winding down from the power supply for a
second or so. Take the card out and the IIe starts up fine. Try the
card in the IIgs with the same results - something going on with the
card and the power supply that stops the machine starting up. Now
very disappointed with my exciting new card. Does anyone have any
ideas what might be wrong, and if this can be fixed?
Many thanks,
Csabai
